Last Sunday we prayed for one of our ladies with a painful rash across her neck and chest. I just the got the text yesterday on the way to church: rash gone completely! We are rejoicing with her this week. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever!

fa-vor n. a state of being held in high regard.

Jodie and I were holding Amelia at the fair the other night standing beside one of the games. The man running the game had on a Garth Brooks style microphone and he asked if this was Amelia's first time at the fair. We said yes and he gave her a little prize for free. Favor. He had no customers at the moment so he started to tell us about how long he had been with the fair and why he enjoyed it so much. We didn't ask him to say any of this to us! Favor. When my son came back from standing in line for the ride across the walkway, I said, "You won't believe what just happened!" He said, "Dad I heard. Everyone in line for the ride heard. He was speaking into his microphone! Why is it that everyone feels like they should tell you and mom their life story??" Favor. I'm going to start calling the testimonies here on our Life Church page "Life Stories!"

One of our ladies shared last night how she asked the Holy Spirit to give her a treasure map to find someone she could bless. She saw a cat in the spirit. She was at the flea market in Ladson where a lady had a cat at her booth. Christy told her about the treasure map and asked if she could pray for her. The Holy Spirit touched the lady powerfully. The lady was so moved because she had been struggling with a decision and asking the Lord to give her a sign to help her know what to do. Along comes Christy, telling her she was sent from God to pray for her! I love it!

Great testimony last night at Family Night: Jake, a sharply dressed, elderly man with a head full of white hair walks in with a cane and says, "I wanted to tell everyone about the cancer thing. I came to this church for prayer some time ago because I had been diagnosed with cancer. Pastor Woody said he saw that it was going and I thought, 'I don't know about that.' Pastor Jodie said she saw it was going to leave and I thought, 'I don't know about that.' Another lady came to me and said it was already gone and I thought, 'I don't know about that.' Well, I went for an MRI and the doctor said it was gone!" We rejoiced with Jake last night and encouraged him to tell people his story so they could believe for their healing as well!

Pastor Jodie had a word for our waitress at Ruby Tuesday's. It always amazes me to see the kingdom of heaven visibly come upon people we've never met before. Right away she started breathing very quickly and her eyes filled with tears. She was excited that God cared about her so much, but that's not why she had such a pronounced physical reaction. It's because the power of God was pouring over her like a river! I asked her if she noticed what was happening and she said, "My heart is racing so fast!" It was unmistakeable. It was like something out of the Bible!
